The artist tends to be drawn to subjects that visually stimulate her. In addition, the process and the craft of making paintings are very important to her, so draughtsmanship, mark making, composition and the intelligent use of colour are all key tenets of her work. She tries to make best use of these tools to create rich and dynamic paintings.
The artist’s preferred medium is oil paint, but she uses a variety of different media including gouache, acrylic, pastel, chalk and mixed media techniques. Her Preferred surface is linen for oil painting, but she also uses canvas and prepared panels.
